CPad is a powerful, free text editor that can replace Notepad with equal ease of use plus many additional features. It has so many capabilities (some through free plugins) you need to see it to believe it. Not only can it replace Notepad, but it also has integrated help files for developing software (i.e. it can be used as a programmer's tool, too).
